The Artist
Suzie Pirtle-Armagost has been painting for nearly 20 years, but has only been sharing it with the world at-large for 5 of those. "When I realized that my family and friends had all of my masterpieces they could handle, I knew it was time to find another outlet". With the encouragement of those same family and friends, Suzie did a church bazaar and sold many of the items she exhibited at the modest booth. That was 2 years ago, and since then she is definatley on a roll.
Born Suzie Pirtle in Chattanooga, TN, Suzie grew up in the small town of Alexandria, IN. The second youngest of 5 children, 4 of which were girls, each one learned to sew, cook, clean, and do all sorts of domestic chores. Many of the scenes of her younger years are represented in her art like Rock City in Chattanooga, and the farm fields of the midwest.
Married with 2 grown children, Suzie decided to use her initials...S.P.A...and use her maiden name in the mix. Her husband Gary is an experienced and talented woodworker, and has refurbished and built many of the items she uses to paint. Her innate love of painting, and amazing talent combine to create a dedication to envision art in unusual and interesting places.
